First, the photography (Katie from Unveiled Photography) went to work taking dress shots.
My bridesmaids did their make-up, then I put them to work. I'm such a horrible bride: I actually put them to work. I hope they didn't mind too much.
Yes, they iced the cake. Wade and I baked that cake. Yes, you read that right: Wade and I baked our wedding cake the day before our wedding. In retrospect, we should have either made the bottom layer thicker, or raised the bottom layer on a pedestal or styrofoam cake layers, so it was the same height as the other layers. But oh well! (Actually, maybe we should have just paid for the cake to be baked. But we did save a lot of money, it looked okay, and the cake didn't taste like cardboard, like most wedding cakes. Plus we have a neat story!)

Bridesmaid Dr. Kristy looks grumpy. But I don't think she was. That's Kristy-concentrating-face. I don't think she minded.
Plus she thinks I'm a little crazy. :)
I love that you baked your cake, I did mine too and it was so nice to have another hand made touch, plus I can imagine it tasted nicer :) And the dress is gorgeous. Can't wait to see more pictures of you in it!
That's awesome you guys baked your own cake! I think it looks great! And what great memories!
Beautiful dress! I cannot believe you and Wade baked your own wedding cake. My cake would have been lopsided and dilapidated. Your cake looks great!
your dress is so beautiful :) and i love how everyone helped out in preparing your cake.
I just love how you baked your own cake and had your girls frost it. What great pictures!
